"Viator" is a special boat. She was designed and built in the Netherlands by Dick Koopman Sr and Dick Koopman Jr. She was built at the AluBoot yard. This yard specializes in building only aluminum boats. They are simply the best in Europe at building aluminum sailing vessels and Mr. Koopman is known for designing the best Blue Water Aluminum Boats in Europe. It was a good combination for "Viator"
This amazing little ship has had 4 owners. The first two were from Germany and the previous owner was a British Sea Captain who knew what he was doing. He made sure "Viator" is equipped to sail the world with comfort and safety. The current owner has made the vessel even better and updated her with a new Solar Array and a new Wind Generator as well as new canvas, LED lighting etc. The current owner has had a change of plans due to family.
The boat is set up so she can plug into any dock in the world and her inverter will automatically recognize the voltage, be it 110vac or 220vac. The vessel has a super quiet diesel generator that will power the glass top galley stove at sea and also produces enough power to run the air conditioning and heating system.
This boat only drafts 4'0" with the board up. She will get you into the best anchorages in the Bahamas, Florida or the Caribbean. With her board down she will make 8 knots in 20 knots of wind and get you to your destination safely and without worry. This vessel is a true blue water yacht. If I had to sail around the world or just around the Caribbean, this would be my choice. You won't find a better built or equipped boat!

The interior of the Koopman 45 while beautiful and comfortable, is a study in efficiency and European design. The teak joinery is without flaw and the quality of the boat's overall construction is evident upon first glance.
As you enter the companionway into the spacious Pilot House, immediately to Starboard you will find a door that opens to the aft head which sports a fantastic Blake Victory Toilet that will never fail you and a nice vanity.
To the Port Side of the companionway is another door which leads to the nice sized aft stateroom with a custom mattress, that is like new. Just forward of the stateroom you will find the outstanding Navigation Station which has everything you would ever need to ply the oceans. The NAV table is big enough for a 1/2 sized chart. Above the chart table is an array of excellent equipment from a SAT phone, SSB, 12" Chart Plotter which is plugged into the AIS Transceiver.
Conveniently, directly across from the NAV station is the Pilot House Helm Station which is set up with another 9" GPS Chart Plotter, Auto Pilot controls, Center Board controls, VHF and more. Of course there is a very comfortable helm chair with which to command this amazing boat.
Forward of the Pilot House Helm and a step down you will find the all electric galley on the starboard side. There is plenty of counter space, and storage for any cook and it's super safe as there is NO PROPANE inside the boat (Except for the barbecue)
Forward of the Galley is the Main Salon. There is a beautiful teak dining table which is supported by the mast's compression post which is boxed in teak. The table "wings" flip up when in use. To Port is a Settee that has a back that will flip up and is secured to the ceiling to make the port side into bunk large enough for 2. On the Starboard side is a nice "L" Shaped Settee that also makes into a nice bunk.
Moving Forward on the Starboard side is the main head. This head has a separate shower, another Blake Victory head, a nice vanity and storage cabinet. Across from the head is a nice bureau with drawers and a hanging locker. Further forward is the large comfortable V-Berth with a custom mattress. and storage shelves outboard. on both sides.
